Work Agreement

Shower Installation Agreement

This agreement outlines the required conditions and responsibilities for shower installation performed by Barefoot Tile (“Contractor”). These conditions must be met before work begins.

Plumbing Requirements

The plumbing valve, shower head, and drain must be centered in the shower.

The drain must be stubbed up through the subfloor or slab.

Concrete may NOT be poured to the drain stub-out.

Any required plumbing corrections are the responsibility of others.

Wall & Substrate Preparation

All sheetrock must be fully installed and finished prior to installation.

All walls must be plumb, level, and straight, with no bows, cupping, or warping.

No shower may be more than 1/8 inch out of level in any direction.

Niche Requirements

Niche location must be 42 inches to the bottom of the niche unless otherwise specified in writing.

The niche must be framed 1½ inches larger than the niche size.

Sheetrock must be properly cut out and ready for installation in niche location.

Windows in Shower

Any window located in the shower must have the entire opening wrapped in sheetrock.

The window must have a consistent reveal on all sides.

Electrical & Structural Limitations

Barefoot Tile will not:

Move or alter any wiring

Move or alter electrical components

Cut or modify studs

Any required changes must be completed before work begins.

Flood Test

A flood test will be administered and must pass prior to tile installation.

Work Agreement for Job Site Preparation

The Contractor will prepare the floor and shower area at the job site as agreed upon.

This preparation includes floor prep, shower area prep, and any necessary clean-up before the work is completed.

Job Site Location:

Parking and Work Permits:

The Client is responsible for ensuring parking is available for all workers and equipment on the job site.

Any necessary work permits or access approvals must be secured by the Client before the start of work.

Barefoot Tile will not be held liable for any delays or interruptions due to failure in obtaining permits.

Proper Site Preparation:

It is the Client's responsibility to ensure that the job site is properly prepared for work.

Barefoot Tile will not be responsible for any delays, complications, or failures in completing the work if the site is not ready or if there are any barriers or issues caused by improper site prep.

If the site is not prepared correctly, the Contractor may reschedule the work or provide a revised completion date, but no guarantees of completion date are given.

Restrictions on Access:

No other trades or workers will be allowed to enter the area of work unless explicitly agreed upon by the Contractor in writing.

Access to the work area is restricted during the prep and completion phases.

Water and Waste Management:

The job site must have access to water to complete the necessary work.

The Client is responsible for providing a dumpster or appropriate waste disposal facilities for the job site.

Barefoot Tile is not responsible for waste removal beyond the scope of this agreement, including any waste that is generated during the job.

Any delays arising from site conditions, failure to prepare the site, or unforeseen complications will result in adjustments to the timeline.

8. Sign-Off:

The Client agrees to the terms outlined above upon signing this agreement.

Work will commence only once the agreement is signed by both parties

Shower Installation Agreement

This agreement outlines the conditions and requirements for tile floor installation performed by Barefoot Tile (“Contractor”). All conditions below must be met prior to the start of work.

1. Subfloor / Substrate Requirements

The subfloor or substrate must be flat and straight, not exceeding 1/8 inch variation over 4 feet.

Any required leveling or correction beyond this tolerance is not included unless specifically stated in writing.

2. Flooring Transitions

For flush transitions to hardwood or other flooring materials, all adjacent flooring must be fully installed before tile work begins.

Barefoot Tile is not responsible for transition issues caused by flooring installed after tile completion.

3. Cabinets, Vanities, and Fixed Structures

No cabinets or vanities may be installed prior to tile installation.

If cabinets, vanities, or other fixed structures are already installed, tile will be installed up to but NOT underneath those structures.

4. Baseboards

Baseboards should be removed prior to tile installation.

If baseboards are installed before tile work begins, tile will be installed up to 1/2 inch from existing baseboards.

Barefoot Tile is not responsible for gaps caused by pre-installed baseboards.

5. Client Responsibility

The client is responsible for ensuring all site conditions meet these requirements before work begins.

Failure to meet these conditions may result in delays, additional charges, or limitations to warranty coverage.
